Phil Pokorny was selected to the planning team that would design what would form the heart of growth in Northwest Austin for decades. The 405 Acre LakeLine, developed by Walter Vackar, included a variety of mixed uses and eventually incorporated a super regional shopping mall.

Pokorny master planned several significant sites within the development including the Town Center Retail/Hotel, an Entertainment Center, and the LakeLine Life-Care Retirement Community. The 720,000 square foot retirement community planned on 33 acres incorporates a wide range of care options. Independent-living detached housing, assisted-living apartments, and full-care rooms are provided with a graduated proximity to a centralized, full service health care center. A consistent concept in the planning included the preservation of natural site resources to form the basis for a variety of community recreational amenities.
